Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been warned of a financial crisis as their lucrative Netflix contract is set to expire next year, according to a royal expert.
Talking with Mirror, Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams noted that the Sussexes rely heavily on their Netflix income as their charitable foundation, Archewell, struggles to attract donors.
“Next year is ending and Netflix is no longer producing The Crown series like it used to. Therefore, they may have less interest in the Sussexes,” he told the publication.
“If they were to lose this contract, given that Archewell, their company and their charitable foundation have so few donors, they could well find themselves in financial trouble.
“Given that their royal-life revelations have made megabucks, but little else has made money, the Royal Family better hope this unpredictable and ruthlessly ambitious couple stays on Netflix.”
Elsewhere in the interview, the expert noted that Prince William and King Charles also lost trust in Harry and Meghan after their consecutive attacks on the royal family.
“After the interview with Oprah, the Netflix documentary about Harry and Meghan and the publication of Harry Spare's memoirs, as well as the interviews he gave to promote it, the popularity of the royal family suffered and the Sussexes were considered to have become rebellious,” says the expert. the said.
“The biggest casualty was trust. It's no surprise that King Charles and Prince William no longer trust Harry and Meghan,” he added.
