Meghan Markle's father, Thomas Markle, says she has had “much worse” in life

Meghan Markle's father, Thomas Markle, considers himself better than a daughter in the middle of a breakup.

The former Hollywood lighting director says the Duchess of Sussex accusing the Royal Family of racism is far worse than any mistakes she may have made in the past.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Thomas helps: “When you look at what Harry and Meghan have done since then, like accusing the Royal Family of racism, it's far worse than anything they've done. I don't want pity and I don't want this episode define my life. I don't want to be a footnote in history.

Thomas later added that he “has had a good life and I'm proud of what I've accomplished,” adding that “it's all been overshadowed by what's happened in the last six years.”

He said: “When the drama with Meghan and Harry started, I was already in my 70s and, although I didn't realize it at the time, I was vulnerable.”

Prince Harry left the Royal Family in 2020 along with his wife Meghan Markle and their son, Prince Archie. The couple later accused the Royal Family of showing racism towards their son and publicly shared their complaints on television. Harry and Meghan now live in California, where they also welcomed their daughter, Princess Lilibet.
