Kid Cudi 'hopes' broken ankle heals in time for Insano tour


Kid Cudi is relaxing since breaking his ankle on the final night of the Coachella music festival in Indio last weekend. And he maintains a positive attitude, even though the injury could affect his upcoming tour.

“Laying in bed with my moms like when I was a kid,” the rapper, born Scott Mescudi, wrote Tuesday morning on social media. “her and my fiancé [sic] “Lola has been holding me down since I was injured and I feel like the luckiest man in the world.”

On Monday, Cudi was equally elated, posting a handful of photos from his weekend set and one from his emergency trip right after. (Not included: Photos taken of him immediately after jumping off the Sahara stage, lying on the floor in pain. The injury was his first bone fracture, he later wrote. in X (formerly Twitter) and added: “I love you all. I heard them all still furious when I was off stage. He made me smile a lot.”

Representatives for the rapper did not immediately respond Tuesday to The Times' request for an update on his condition.

The jump and resulting accident reportedly caused the rapper to end his headlining act early Sunday.

“This was me right after the fall in the ambulance. Everything smiles like a G,” she wrote on Instagram. “No pain could have stopped me from feeling the joy I felt from the show. To everyone who came yesterday and has been watching me and sending love, YES… I LOVE YOU!!! Coachella, that's how we get mad. You know how we do it every time. In a video posted the same day and captured by TMZ, he said with a smile: “This is what happens when a 40-year-old man tries to prance offstage like he's 26, like he used to do in the past. .”

He added that he “hoped” to be cured in time to hit the road. Their Insano: Engage the Rage World Tour is scheduled to release on June 28, just over two months from today. He could be possible. “Treating an ankle fracture depends on the exact site and severity of the bone fracture,” says the Mayo Clinic. Meanwhile, the Cleveland Clinic says it can take 12 to 16 weeks for a non-surgical ankle fracture to heal.
