Halle Berry has revealed that she will be advocating for women's health on her upcoming birthday.
During an interview with Additional televisionThe 57-year-old actress said she plans to celebrate her upcoming birthday by advocating for a new bill to raise public awareness about menopause.
Referring to the Menopause Care and Health Promotion Act for Middle-Aged Women introduced in May, Cat women The star said: “I will be in West Virginia with Senator [Shelley] Capito is doing advocacy work for my menopause bill.”
She continued, “I can’t imagine a better way to spend my birthday than fighting for all women. I can’t wait for that day to come.”
“About four years ago I realized I was in perimenopause and I thought I was going to miss out. That’s what I thought, I knew so little about it,” she added.
In recent months, Berry has advocated for destigmatizing the concept of menopause and denounced the idea of ”shame” that it implies.
Her defense even took her to the TimeList of 100 Health's.
