As Pakistanis in Pakistan and around the world celebrate the 78th Independence Day today (Wednesday), Google also introduced a new mango-inspired Doodle to mark the auspicious occasion.

Google, the world's most popular search engine, has unveiled a Doodle that spells out its name in its signature colors and design, which could also be considered the company's logo.

However, from time to time the company changes its doodle to celebrate an occasion or event.

Clicking or tapping on the redesigned Doodle takes you to a Google webpage that presents all the information related to the event.

Today, to mark Pakistan's Independence Day, Google has changed its usual Doodle to spell out the search engine's name in white on a green background surrounded by traditional Pakistani art including mangoes.

But why mangoes? Well, because among the many mango-producing regions, Pakistan stands out as a producer of mangoes of exceptional quality.

Mangoes grown in Pakistan are popular around the world for their vibrant colors, tempting aroma and burst of juicy sweetness.

The new Doodle adds a fun, traditional touch to the site.

By clicking on this Doodle, users are taken to a web page that features all the information related to Pakistan's Independence Day – from national songs, the history of Pakistan's birth, videos, other updates and news articles related to the day.

On the new website, users can find a different Doodle in the top left corner of the page, with a Pakistani flag replacing the double “O”s of “Google.”
