Producer Reveals Unique Details About 'Dune' Actors' Desert Lodging During Filming
The desert is an integral part of the Dune franchise since most of the scenes were filmed there and the actors, for some time, slept there in camps.
During an interview with VarietyThe film's line producer, Robbie McAree, spoke about hosting the A-list stars in the Arabian desert.
“The location where we were filming is obviously close to the desert resort Qasr Al Sarab Hotel, which is great. That was our point of service. “It is an incredible, incredible hotel, with excellent facilities.”
He continued: “So, yeah, everyone was there. Of course, from the beginning we realized that we were going to have a challenge in terms of the number of beds.”
At first, Robbie shared that producers were baffled by his idea of managing the shortage.
“So I presented the idea to the producers (the international producers) of basically building a camp. At first they looked at me as if I had three heads.”
However, he added: “But it worked and it was a great solution.”
Dune: Part Two It is currently being screened in theaters with success.
