Adele reportedly turned down a $200 million payout to be with her family.
Adele, 36, recently told fans at her Munich shows: “I won't be seeing you for an incredibly long time.”
She explained: “I just need to rest. I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself and I want to live it now.”
Now, the Daily Mail claims the singer has turned down an offer of a long-term residency at a casino in Macau, China, which would have earned her $200 million.
A source close to the pair told the publication's Alison Boshoff: “There have been a lot of offers, but she has turned them all down because she wants to be home with her son. The China deal put millions of dollars on the table, but in the end she didn't want to do it. She put her son and her boyfriend, and herself, first.”
Adele has been performing her Weekends With Adele concerts at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas since November 2022. The residency is set to come to an end on November 23 this year, leaving the Hello singer free to spend time with boyfriend Rich Paul and their 11-year-old son Angelo.
In July, the rolling in The Deep The hitmaker said she wants to take a break from music and focus on her family and other creative projects.
“I don’t have any plans to make any new music,” Adele revealed. “I want a big break after this and I think I want to do other creative things, even if it’s just for a little while.”
