EasyA announces EasyA x Polkadot University, the world's first university focused on blockchain education By Chainwire

San Francisco, USA, September 24, 2024, Chainwire

EasyAthe world’s leading blockchain education platform, proudly announces the launch of its EasyA x University. This will be the world’s first university focused on educating the next generation of blockchain developers. EasyA alumni have already founded companies valued at over $2.5 billion. The EasyA x Polkadot University will bring the next wave of these founders into the Polkadot ecosystem and enable them to launch their projects on Polkadot.

With one million users already learning about blockchain through the EasyA app and thousands of developers attending EasyA hackathons around the world, EasyA is now taking its educational initiatives to the next level. The EasyA x Polkadot University will leverage the widespread talent within universities and focus it on the Polkadot ecosystem.

Through a combination of workshops, hackathons, and demo days, the University will focus on educating students about Polkadot and helping them launch new projects in the ecosystem.

“EasyA has a proven track record of supporting founders who go on to found leading projects, backed by top VCs such as a16z, YC, and Founders Fund. The EasyA x Polkadot University aims to inspire the next wave of founders to launch their projects on Polkadot,” said Phil Kwok, CEO and co-founder of EasyA.

EasyA currently organises one to two in-person hackathons per month in major cities around the world, from San Francisco to London, Singapore and beyond, attracting top talent looking to build high-value startups. These hackathons will now be a key pillar of the University.

The biggest advances in blockchain have been driven by students, such as Vitalik Buterin, who dropped out of school to create Polkadot, and Robert Habermeier himself, who was just a student when he left academia to create Polkadot. With its University, EasyA will focus on finding the most talented founders in the world and helping them achieve success.

EasyA founders Phil and Dom Kwok have a wealth of experience in both blockchain and business. Having started their blockchain journey in 2013, they have seen exactly what works and what doesn’t over the past decade. Phil was a scholar at Cambridge University and was one of the youngest people to pass the New York Bar exam. Dom trained at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was also an academic before working at Goldman Sachs and subsequently private equity giant Blackstone (NYSE:).

EasyA x Polkadot University marks the beginning of a new era for blockchain education: a place where the world’s best developers will create this next phase of the internet.
