A video of an elderly woman suspended in the air after her coat got stuck in a store blind has taken TikTok by storm, garnering 1.9 million views, according to the publication. bbc reported.

Anne Hughes is a 72-year-old cleaner at a convenience store in Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales, she was standing against the shutters of a store when the shutters began to rise.

However, Hughes ended up being lifted into the air by the shutters because her coat got stuck in them. Fortunately, the store owner quickly stopped when he saw her and helped the poor woman.

“I couldn't hear myself scream when I realized they had caught me,” he said.

“The blind was completely open, so I called out his name and, thank God, he came out, lowered the blind a little and managed to hold me in his arms.

“And I remember telling him 'just grab my head'. I was afraid I was going to fall, I was pointing towards the ground.”

The entire incident was captured on CCTV outside the store and posted on TikTok on the store's account, where it went viral.

Although shocked, Hughes was unharmed and appears to have admitted that the incident was “hysterical.”

“I'll never hear the end of this,” he said. “My boss has said that he has never liked his staff hanging around.”

Hughes revealed that he had officially retired seven years ago, but had been working at the store since then.

She joked: “Last night we were singing Fame to my entire messenger group and they thought it was hysterical. I'm going to have to handle fame, always be in makeup. I'll never go against those shutters again. Never again. … I've learned my lesson.”
