Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is set to attend the opulent pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani, the son of Indian tycoon Mukesh Ambani, as part of his mini-tour to Asia. Bloomberg reported.

The lavish celebrations, scheduled from March 1 to 3, will be held at Ambani's sprawling Jamnagar estate. Mukesh Ambani, the world's 10th richest individual, presents a guest list that includes not only Zuckerberg but also prominent figures such as Bill Gates and Ivanka Trump.

Meta, along with Google and other giants, has invested substantial sums in Reliance's digital unit Jio Platforms, aiming to compete with Amazon and Walmart in India's vast e-commerce market.

Zuckerberg's presence at Ambani's wedding aligns with the strategic partnerships and investments shaping the technology landscape in the region.

Before attending the celebrations, Zuckerberg shared excerpts from his tour of Asia, in which he presented unique experiences such as sword-making in Japan.

His itinerary includes engagements with Facebook developers in Tokyo and scheduled meetings with South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol, as well as leaders of tech powers Samsung and LG.

In particular, discussions in South Korea may extend to the development of a mixed reality headset, positioning Meta in competition with Apple's Vision Pro.

The multifaceted tour underscores Zuckerberg's commitment to cultural experiences, business collaborations and high-profile events, marking a dynamic intersection of technology, commerce and global affairs.
