Washington: The United States has expelled the South Africa ambassador to Washington, accusing him of being hostile to the country and President Donald Trump.
“The South Africa ambassador to the United States is no longer welcome in our great country,” the Secretary of State for Marco Rubio published on Friday.
Ebrahim Rasool is “a politician who scores the race that hates the United States and hates @potus,” he said, referring to Trump on his White House X.
“We have nothing to argue with him, so he is considered a person not pleasant.”

Expulsion is the last development in increasing tensions between Washington and Pretoria.
Trump in February froze American aid to South Africa, citing a law in the country that claims that the land allows the land to be seized of white farmers.
One of Trump's closest allies is the billionaire born in South Africa Elon Musk, who accused the government of South African President Cyril Ramaphosa to have “openly racist property laws.”
Earth's property is a controversial issue in South Africa, and most cultivation lands are still owned by whites three decades after the end of apartheid and the government under pressure to implement reforms.
During an G20 event in South Africa last month, Ramaphosa said he had a “wonderful” call with Trump shortly after the US leader assumed the position in January.
But the relationships later “seemed to leave the rails a bit,” he said.
