US President Joe Biden made a mistake on Friday when he claimed he would defeat his opponent Donald Trump again in the “upcoming 2020 election,” giving rise to his age-related concerns.

The slip of the tongue occurred as Biden was addressing the public about the upcoming election, which will be held in November of this year.

On July 4, the 81-year-old called herself the “first black woman to serve under a black president.”

Biden's recent gaffes appear to have worsened following his contentious presidential debate against Republican rival Donald Trump last week, which raised concerns within the Democratic Party about his ability to serve a second term.

Despite the error, the current president confirmed that he will continue as a candidate in the 2024 presidential elections.

He also mentioned that he was forced to withdraw from the upcoming elections.

“Let me say this as clearly as I can: I will continue to run,” Biden said. “I will beat Donald Trump. I will beat him again in 2020. By the way, we will do it again in 2024. Yes, I learned a long time ago that when you get knocked down, you get back up.”

As for concerns about his age, he said: “You’ve probably also noticed that there’s a lot of talk about my age. I know I look 40. I keep seeing stories about my age. Let me tell you something… I wasn’t too old to create 15 million-plus new jobs.”

Furthermore, according to CNNSome Democrats are shifting their support toward Vice President Kamala Harris.
