This holiday season, Disneyland is already looking ahead to 2024 and today announced a new offer for Southern California residents.
Each local resident who pays $225 will receive three park tickets per day to be used on separate visits from January 2 to June 2. This discount is equivalent to $75 for each ticket. To compare costs, a one-day park ticket ranges from $104 to $194, depending on when you visit the Anaheim resort.
The three-ticket package, valid for children or adults, means you can choose to visit Disneyland or Disney California Adventure each time. The $225 offer is valid Monday through Thursday, as those who participate in the promotion will be locked out on Fridays and weekends. A Disneyland spokesperson later clarified that those wishing to visit the theme parks on a Friday or weekend can do so for $275, or about $92 per day.
Park reservations are required in addition to a ticket, and the sale date for the deal is December 5.
The discount is good for residents living in zip codes 90000-93599 in Southern California. Ticket upgrades, such as the Park Hopper option or the Genie+ skip-the-line feature, will be available at the time of purchase.
The offer cannot be combined with other promotions, but can be mixed and matched with other offers as Disneyland continues to offer its special kids ticket offer that allows children ages 3-9 to visit for $50. The latter runs from January 8 to March 10, and while there are no restricted days for the children's offer, tickets are subject to booking availability. (After the parks reopened in 2021 following a 13-month pandemic closure, Disneyland and California Adventure adopted a crowd control system that required guests to secure their reservations before entering the parks. This means, essentially, that Both a ticket and a reservation are required to enter a park.)
The promotion for local residents comes just weeks after Disneyland raised ticket prices again. In October, Disneyland increased single-day admission prices on its most popular days by nearly 9%, while parking rates increased nearly 17% and the cost of using the ride-hopping Genie+ service increased by 20%. %. Parking at Disneyland Resort starts at $35 per car.
The lowest-priced ticket for a single-day visit on off-peak days at Disneyland and California Adventure has remained at $104 since 2019. The daily off-peak day ticket, which was $179, recently increased to $194. dollars, 8.4%. increase. Prices at other levels increased by 3.9% to 8.9%. A park hopping add-on costs $65, bringing some single-day multi-park tickets up to $259 on some days.
A Disneyland spokesperson said there were no updates on sales of its annual passes, known as Magic Key. Currently, new sales of Magic Key passports are suspended.
Earlier this month, Disneyland reopened a classic attraction from 1962. Adventureland's Treehouse, inspired by Walt Disney's Swiss Family Robinson, most recently Tarzan's Treehouse, had been closed for about a year while the park remade the exhibition. By once again updating the treehouse, the park has looked to its past.
Abstract, ambient storytelling and some cleverly designed mechanical animals (you'll want to spend some time watching Jane the Ostrich) have given Adventureland Treehouse a fresh but retro makeover. Numerous details, such as a large waterwheel, which provides a jolt of motion and energy to Adventureland's trails, nod to the original story, which was inspired by the 1960 Disney film “Swiss Family Robinson.”
