Marriott International has signed an agreement with Beijing North Star Company to open the third The Ritz-Carlton hotel and the first Marriott Marquis hotel in Beijing.
Both properties are expected to open in 2026 at the China National Convention Center Phase II, a large complex with hotels, retail stores, offices, leisure facilities and conference rooms.
Within walking distance are cultural and leisure attractions such as the National Stadium (Bird’s Nest), the National Aquatic Center (Water Cube) and the China Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum.
Beijing Capital Airport is approximately 20 kilometers (approximately 12.4 miles) from the two hotels.
The Ritz-Carlton Beijing, North is expected to have 282 rooms and suites. Guests can enjoy refined dining experiences at six different locations. Responsive facilities are expected to include an indoor pool, a fitness center and The Ritz-Carlton spa. Additionally, the hotel will offer well-equipped conference and event facilities totaling 968 square meters.
Meanwhile, the Beijing Marriott Marquis Hotel is expected to offer 671 rooms and suites, along with a variety of culinary venues including an all-day restaurant, a specialty restaurant, and a lobby bar and lounge. Planned facilities also include a swimming pool and gym, as well as 3,207 square meters of conference and event spaces including a grand ballroom, two youth ballrooms, meeting rooms and an executive club lounge – M Club.

Marriott International encompasses a portfolio of nearly 8,700 properties across more than 30 brands in 139 countries. Currently this includes more than 110 Ritz-Carlton hotels.
