Standard International has outlined plans to open three European properties by 2027.
The Standard, Brussels is expected to open in the first half of next year within the city's refurbished World Trade Center, offering 200 rooms, of which 20 will be the group's first foray into extended stays.
The interiors will be inspired by the adjacent botanical garden, and the hotel will feature a lobby restaurant and bar, and a rooftop garden and brasserie on the 29th floor.
It will be followed by the end of 2025 by The Standard, Lisbon, which will be located in a former naval hospital in the city's Alfama district and will offer 172 rooms, a cafe overlooking the Campo de Santa Clara, an exclusive restaurant, outdoor terrace Pool terrace and rooftop cocktail bar.
Finally, The Standard, Dublin will open its doors in 2027 within the Dublin Arch development. This 200-room property was announced in 2021. and was originally scheduled to open in 2025.
The Standard hotel brand launched in 1999 and currently has properties in destinations including New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Bangkok and the Maldives, as well as The Standard London, which opened in 2019. For our review of this hotel, see :
