Dark/light mode (04/01/24) Hyatt has expanded its hotel portfolio in Africa with the opening of a Park Hyatt in Marrakech, Morocco.
Located about 15 kilometers from Marrakech's historic Medina district, the 7.5-hectare complex is adjacent to the Al Maaden golf resort, at the base of the Atlas Mountains.
Composed of 16 pavilions arranged around a central zeolite courtyard, Park Hyatt Marrakech has 130 rooms and suites with Berber rugs traditionally woven from pure wool and headboards depicting the Tataoui motif, a local roofing technique made from laurel branches.
Thanks to an exclusive collaboration with Ifitry Artists' Residence, the hotel features more than 700 paintings and decorative objects selected by artists from Morocco, Senegal, Benin, Spain, France, Italy and Japan.
