Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts continues its strong commitment to developing future leaders in the hospitality sector. As a learning-first organization, The Leela has unveiled the commencement of the Leela Leadership Development Program (LLDP) – Class of 2025. On May 19, a new group of participants received a warm welcome at The Leela Ambience Gurugram Hotel and Residences. This esteemed program, developed in collaboration with the Indian School of Hospitality (ISH) and in association with Les Roches, a prestigious institute that focuses on redefining hospitality education, offers a comprehensive curriculum aimed at training future leaders in the hospitality field. It encompasses a combination of boot camps, face-to-face instruction, online modules and hands-on experience at various Leela properties.

The Leela Leadership Development Program runs for 15 months and is designed to identify and mentor industry talent through capstone projects, assessments and comprehensive mentoring at The Leela's distinguished properties. This program is meticulously crafted to identify, nurture and hone the industry's top talent, turning them into the luxury leaders of tomorrow. Additionally, it facilitates employee growth and accelerates their advancement into management roles and future general managers within The Leela. Since its inception in May 2022, LLDP has successfully trained two pools of talent prepared for the changing demands of the hospitality industry.

The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts have expanded their training efforts to strengthen gender diversity through the Shefs at The Leela program. Introduced in 2022, this initiative aims to attract and motivate female talent globally to pursue culinary careers. Committed to fostering an inclusive workplace, The Leela conceived Shefs at The Leela to celebrate the achievements of women in hospitality and foster a supportive community. With its commendable progress, the platform has this year evolved into a structured development program to address the demand for diverse talent in kitchens and help aspiring female chefs make a mark in the industry.
