Star Alliance member Thai Airways (THAI) plans to restart daily service between its Bangkok hub and Perth from March 31.

Thai Airways will operate the route with a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft, which has a total of 266 seats configured with 24 seats in business class and 240 in economy class.

On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, TG483 will depart Bangkok at 0001 and arrive in Perth at 0745. Return TG484 flights will depart Perth at 0920 and arrive in Bangkok at 1520.

Perth Airport aviation and commercial director Kate Holsgrove said it was great to see the airline return with a daily non-stop service to the popular destination.

“The return of this service means tourists, students and businesses have the option of a non-stop connection to Bangkok that will deliver a significant 186,368 seats and 14,000 tonnes of cargo capacity to the Perth market annually.

“With Thailand being Western Australia’s eighth largest trading partner and a major market for international students, the resumption of non-stop flights provides a huge opportunity for our economies.

Thai Airways also recently added a second daily Bangkok-Sydney schedule, complementing its existing twice-daily service to Melbourne.
