Marriott International has announced the first three projects under a strategic cooperation agreement with Delonix Group, a China-based hospitality company.
Expected to open in spring 2025, the first signed Tribute Portfolio hotels will mark the brand's debut in three destinations and will include Grand New Century Hotel, Hangzhou Boao, a Tribute Portfolio hotel, Wonderland Resort, Hangzhou Jiande, a resort Tribute Portfolio, and the Grand New Century Hotel, Chongqing, a Tribute Portfolio hotel.
The Chongqing property will offer 210 rooms and suites strategically located in central Chongqing, near Chaotianmen Pier.
Wonderland Resort, Hangzhou Jiande, a Tribute Portfolio resort, is located in the Qililong area of 'Fuchun River and Xinan River Scenic Area' in Jiande, Hangzhou. The hotel, neighboring historical and cultural attractions such as Lingshi Temple and Zixu Gorge, will have 203 rooms.
Meanwhile, the Grand New Century Hotel, Hangzhou Boao, a Tribute Portfolio hotel, will be in the central area of the city's Xiaoshan district and will feature 299 rooms and suites.
Tribute Portfolio is a growing global family of independent Marriott hotels, currently boasting nearly 120 hotels in more than 25 countries.
China's Delonix now has more than 1,400 hotels and 200,000 rooms in operation and under development.
