Marriott International has introduced The Luxury Collection brand in Germany.
Koenigshof, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Munich is located on the city's historic Stachus Square and features contemporary design by Nieto Sobejano Architects and Landau + Kindelbacher.
Design features include louvered structures, large gilded walls, and artwork by nationally and internationally renowned artists such as Joseph Beuys, Christo und Jeanne-Claude, and David John Flynn.
The hotel features 106 rooms and suites with curated artwork from local Bavarian artists, dark wood-paneled walls, neutral-toned fabrics, floor-to-ceiling windows, and state-of-the-art technology.
Rooms are also equipped with local touches, from welcome cards illustrated by Munich designer Alexandra von Frankenberg to a personalized fragrance and exclusive tea made in collaboration with Samova Tea. Other amenities include Byredo toiletries, Nespresso machines, Dyson Supersonic hairdryers, and Bose Bluetooth speakers.
For those who want to treat themselves, the property has the largest hotel suite in the city at 250 square meters. The two-level presidential suite, located on the eighth and ninth floors, also includes a private sauna, a pool with massage jets, and a private spa space.
