Imperial London Hotels has announced plans for a complete refurbishment of its namesake property overlooking Russell Square.
The 357-room Imperial Hotel is one of eight London properties in the group's portfolio, all located in the Bloomsbury area of the capital.
The others are the Bedford Hotel, the Tavistock Hotel, the President Hotel, the Morton Hotel, the Holiday Inn Bloomsbury, the Royal National Hotel and the City Sleeper at the Royal National.
Described as a “once in a generation” renovation, the Imperial Hotel will reopen in 2026 as a four-star luxury flagship hotel.
Features will include a rooftop bar and restaurant on the 10th floor with views over London and an interior design that will combine “retro-chic and modern sophistication.”
