Kyra lounge to open in Terminal 1 of Hong Kong International Airport – Business Traveler

Hong Kong International Airport will welcome a new lounge this summer, following an agreement between Airport Dimensions, SSP and Travel Food Services.

Few details have been confirmed about the facility, except that it will be called 'Kyra' and will be located in the central concourse of the airport's Terminal 1.

Airport Dimensions is part of the Collinson group (owner of Priority Pass and LoungeKey). The subsidiary owns the No1 Lounges brand alongside Swissport and also operates the Club Aspire, Sleep 'n Fly and Ambaar Club brands.

Last year, the firm opened The Club's first Chase Sapphire Lounge, located in the West Hall of Terminal 1 at Hong Kong International Airport.

Meanwhile, SSP is a leading operator of food and beverage outlets in tourist destinations around the world, and Indian company Travel Food Services operates in the lounge management and food and beverage sectors.

Commenting on the news, Errol McGlothan, President of Airport Dimensions for EMEA and APAC, said:

“I am delighted that by coming together as a partnership, we have been able to combine the expertise of three industry-leading companies and win the opportunity to develop this highly sought-after new space at Hong Kong International Airport.

“Our victory demonstrates the power of our collective and shows what can be achieved when complementary companies come together to focus their common energy on developing the best solution for a demanding customer.

“The victory marks a significant step towards our growth in the region. “We look forward to building on the continued success of our established partnership with HKIA, exemplified by The Club HKG’s already operational Chase Sapphire Lounge.”
