JetBlue has launched new summer seasonal flights to Dublin, followed by Edinburgh in May.
As previously reported The airline operates daily services from Boston and New York JFK to Dublin during the summer season until September 30.
JetBlue said Dublin had been “among the most sought-after European destinations not previously served by JetBlue,” and travelers from the United States account for nearly 20 percent of all foreign tourism to Ireland.
Flights from New York depart at 8:47 p.m. and arrive in Dublin at 9:00 a.m. the next day, with the return leg leaving the Irish city at 10:45 a.m. and landing back at JFK at 1:22 p.m.
Meanwhile, the Boston service departs at 20:42 and arrives in Dublin at 08:20 the following day, and the return leg departs Dublin at 10:55 and lands back in Boston at 12:57.
JetBlue will compete with Aer Lingus, which operates year-round flights from Dublin to Boston and New York JFK, while Delta flies year-round between JFK and Dublin, and seasonally between Boston and Dublin.
The airline will also add daily seasonal flights from New York JFK to Edinburgh starting May 22.
