Dark/light mode (05/16/24) IHG has signed a management agreement with Mansarovar Amusement Park & Resort to develop a Crowne Plaza Resort in Nepalgunj, Nepal.
The city of Nepalgunj is located near the southern border with Bahraich district in Uttar Pradesh, India.
Nepalgunj, famous for its treks to the Dolpo plateau and Jumla region, is often used as a strategic stopping place on the way to the Himalayas.
Scheduled to open in early 2028, Crowne Plaza Resort Nepalgunj will have over 100 keys and will be easily accessible from Nepalgunj Airport (KEP) and the India-Nepal border.

The hotel facilities are expected to include three food and beverage outlets, a gym, club lounge, spa, retail and a selection of meeting and event spaces.

IHG currently has 50 hotels operating across five brands in Southwest Asia, including Six Senses, InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express. The company also has a portfolio of 64 hotels that will open in the next 3 to 5 years.
