Hilton will open the first property in the UK and Ireland under its Home2Suites brand for extended stays next year.
Home2 Suites by Hilton Dublin City Center will be located near the city's O'Connell Street and will offer 214 king-size studio suites and 76 one-bedroom suites with full kitchens.
There will also be a multi-functional lobby and communal space, where guests will benefit from a complimentary daily hot breakfast.
Interestingly, the property will also feature “a built-in gym and laundry room, so guests can work out while waiting for the laundry to finish.”
Hilton has more than 650 Home2Suites properties around the world, the vast majority of which are located in the United States.
The move follows the introduction of Hilton's new lower-mid-range extended stay brand, LivSmart Studios, earlier this year, as major hotel groups increasingly focus on the extended stay sector.
Hilton Introduces Extended Stay Brand LivSmart Studios
Hyatt launched its upper-mid-range Hyatt Studios brand last year, while Marriott unveiled its affordable mid-scale StudioRes concept.
Commenting on the news, Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president of development, EMEA, Hilton, said:
“We are excited to announce the debut of Home2 Suites by Hilton in Western Europe, marking an important milestone for the brand as it gains momentum in the region.
“As we explore opportunities for further expansion, the growing demand for extended stays presents an exciting opportunity to meet the changing needs of travelers in the region.
“We look forward to welcoming guests to this new property and redefining the extended stay experience.”
