Marriott has outlined the ongoing renovation of its property on Glasgow's Argyle Street.
The 303-room Glasgow Marriott Hotel now features the brand's signature Greatroom concept, encompassing the reception area, lobby, a new lounge bar and the property's Cast Iron Grill restaurant.
All rooms are being upgraded with amenities including 55-inch televisions and six new Junior Suites have been added along with the hotel's 75 executive rooms.
The design of the hotel's renovated public spaces has been inspired by the city's bridges, and the bar features tiled textures “reflecting the rolling waters of the River Clyde”, while the reception desk includes an industry-inspired mural Glasgow pottery.
Guests in Executive Rooms have access to the hotel's lounge, which now features “geometric shapes and abstract Glasgow maps in a striking tile design”.
The property's ten meeting rooms are also being upgraded and renovation work is expected to be completed in December this year.
The Glasgow Marriott Hotel is located opposite the city's Anderston Station and within walking distance of Glasgow Central Station.
The hotel is one of four Marriott properties currently operating in the Glasgow area, including Courtyard Glasgow Airport. which opened in 2016Moxy Glasgow SEC which opened in 2021and AC Hotel Glasgow which opened last year.
Moxy Glasgow Merchant City is temporarily closed for renovations and is expected to reopen in 2025.
