Etihad Airways and Royal Air Maroc, which have had a codeshare agreement since 2007 that has been extended several times since then, have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding to further boost their commercial and operational ties.
The existing codeshare agreement offers customers of both airlines enhanced connectivity to destinations across each other's networks between Morocco and the United Arab Emirates, as well as beyond Casablanca to Africa and beyond Abu Dhabi. The agreement allows guests to book their entire trip with a single ticket and seamlessly check their luggage to their final destination.

Speaking about the new MoU, Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, said: “This agreement covers a wide range of activities, from exploring the expansion of existing codeshare agreements to cover more domestic routes in Morocco and Africa, to considering the development of existing codeshare agreements to cover more domestic routes in Morocco and Africa, cooperation in the frequent flyer program and exploration of collaborations in ground handling, maintenance and engineering.
