Emirates has announced plans for its fourth route to South America, with daily Boeing 777-300ER flights to Bogotá launching on June 3.
The service will be via Miami, and the airline indicated that “Due to the high altitude of the city of Bogotá, it is not possible to operate a non-stop flight from Dubai, so a stopover is considered necessary.”
Emirates added that Miami was chosen “because of its tourist and commercial links with Bogotá.”
Flights will depart Dubai at 02:15, arriving at 10:05, before continuing to Bogotá at 12:35, arriving at 15:25. The return leg will leave the Colombian capital at 5:25 p.m., arriving in Miami at 10:15 p.m., before departing for Dubai at 12:45 a.m. and landing at 11:00 p.m.
