Delta presents new uniform prototypes – Business Traveler

The designs also incorporate the Delta “widget,” the triangular-shaped icon that was first introduced in 1959 and appears on the tail fins of Delta aircraft.

However, readers who want to see Delta employees in the new uniforms will have to wait a bit. The airline said it will begin “extensive wear testing for each piece of uniform” this fall, adding that “the introduction of new uniform pieces across all work groups is not expected in the coming years.”

Delta's current uniforms date back to 2018, with the collection created in partnership with New York designer Zac Posen.

Delta will finally debut new uniforms this month

Commenting on the news, Ranjan Goswami, Senior Vice President, Customer Experience Design, said:

“Delta has tens of thousands of uniformed employees, all with different needs and preferences. That means any evolution of the uniform program will take time and deliberation to get right.

“We are committed to using this time to listen, learn and iterate as we work towards a new look, one that reflects and celebrates who we are as Delta.”
