Cathay Pacific opens Shekou ferry lounge – Business Traveler

Cathay Pacific has officially opened its first non-airport lounge, opening a facility at Shekou Cruise Homeport in Shenzhen.

The ferry lounge has the same signature design concept used in Cathay airport lounges (designed by London-based Studioilse) and offers 270-degree views of the area, “including a glimpse of Hong Kong in the distance” .

The airline operates codeshare ferry services between Shekou and the SkyPier terminal at Hong Kong International Airport, with 11 return services per day.

The journey takes around 30 minutes and allows customers to collect their ferry tickets and boarding passes, and check their luggage onto Cathay Pacific flights.

The lounge is open to Cathay Diamond and Gold members, as well as first and business class customers, Cathay Silver members and equivalent oneworld members traveling on Cathay Pacific flights.
