Celebrity power couple Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have listed their Santa Barbara beach house on Airbnb, for free.
The actors announced Tuesday that their beachfront cabin would soon be available to book for one night only on the home rental website. The listing went up on Wednesday and the reservation date is Saturday.
“Not the craziest idea I've ever had,” Kutcher wrote with an Instagram video of him telling a bewildered Kunis that he thought they should invite “complete strangers to come and stay” at his beach house.
“Stay with us at our beach house,” he wrote, “and leave like we're old friends!”
The description for “Ashton & Mila's Oceanfront Oasis” says the residence has two bedrooms, one bed and one bathroom. However, the listing photos show multiple beds, including a queen bed in a private room and bunk beds in separate rooms.
The charming home also features a kitchen, living room, and a large backyard with beach views, as well as a TV, fireplace, and hot tub.
“Our Santa Barbara County beach house is our home away from home, especially when we need a little R&R (you other parents know what we're talking about),” the description reads.
“Steps from the beach and with beautiful views of the Santa Ynez Mountains, there will be no shortage of attractions and plenty of activities to make your summer stay unforgettable.”
Suggested activities include sinking “your feet in the sand while enjoying a cup of coffee on the beach,” “walking nearby trails,” “enjoying beautiful panoramic views,” enjoying “local snacks and shops just steps from the coast” and soak in “those summer rays.”
The listing notes that Kutcher and Kunis “will be there to greet you upon arrival and make sure you have everything you need for a fun-filled stay at the beach.” It also asks guests to disclose any dietary restrictions, as “meals and snacks will be provided.”
Up to four guests can stay at the beach house on Saturday night, and many have already started looking for a reservation in the comments section of Kutcher's Instagram announcement.
“IM volunteer!!!!!” wrote actress Octavia Spencer.
“I'm doing this,” echoed comedian Whitney Cummings.
The “Jobs” star and the “Black Swan” actor appear to be following the lead of fellow Hollywood star Gwyneth Paltrow, who this month put her Montecito guesthouse up for sale for free on Airbnb. The home rental service also partnered with Warner Bros. this summer to offer an overnight stay at Barbie and Ken's Malibu Dreamhouse as part of a giant publicity stunt for the movie “Barbie.”
“I invite you to spend a night at my guest house in Montecito,” Paltrow posted on August 1 on Instagram.
“While we may start out as strangers, I hope we find connections and commonalities over a delicious meal. Lounge by the pool, go on one of my favorite hikes, and of course, you'll have a bathroom stocked with my favorite @goop products for a truly luxurious stay.”
