ANA and ITA Airways launch codeshare partnership – Business Traveler

Japanese airline All Nippon Airways has signed a codeshare agreement with ITA Airways to connect the two airlines' networks.

The codeshare will officially launch on January 24, with tickets going on sale from January 17, and will allow for better connectivity for passengers across the two airlines' hubs. Customers flying with ANA and ITA Airways will be able to fly to their final destination with a single ticket.

All Nippon Airways will apply its “NH” code on the ITA Airways flight between Tokyo Haneda and Rome Fiumicino, as well as on five destinations in Italy connecting to Fiumicino (Bologna, Venice, Turin, Florence and Naples).

Meanwhile, ITA Airways will add its “AZ” code to six Japanese domestic destinations (Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Itami, Kansai, Okinawa and Sapporo).

The two airlines are also considering expanding their cooperation by adding additional codes in the near future.

The press release says:

“This agreement will contribute to further consolidating economic and commercial relations between Italy and Japan and will offer Italian tourists the opportunity to widely discover the wonders of Japan and Japanese citizens the opportunity to easily travel to Italy, guaranteeing the highest standards of security. “
