London Southend Airport will welcome new flights to Milan Bergamo this spring.
The Aeroitalia service, which will operate six times a week, will launch on March 25, with fares starting at €79.99 each way.
Flights will operate weekdays and Sundays, departing Milan Bergamo at 0900, arriving in London Southend at 0945, before returning at 1045 and landing back in Milan at 1330.
In a press release, Southend Airport also noted that there will be “further routes to follow”, without giving further details.
Aeroitalia has previously provided service at London Heathrow Airport. from Milan Bergamo and Florence, but does not currently operate any of these routes.
The airline’s route network primarily comprises domestic routes, although it serves several international destinations, including Barcelona and Bucharest.
Other connections from Milan Bergamo to the UK include EasyJet flights from Gatwick and Ryanair services from Belfast International, Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Liverpool, London Stansted, Manchester and Newcastle.

Italian airline ITA Airways has recently expanded its route between London City and Milan Linate, adding frequencies and adding its newest A220 aircraft to the route.
