Developer Maxis and publisher Electronic Arts (EA) have revealed two new downloadable content (DLC) kits coming to their popular free-to-play life simulation game. The Sims 4: The Sims 4 Riviera Retreat equipment and The Sims 4 Cozy Bistro equipment.
The Sims 4 Riviera Retreat The kit will offer a range of items designed to help you “create the calmest spaces filled with timeless vintage and contemporary styles”. This includes new linen furniture, decorative arches, rustic wicker recliners, gentle waterfalls and leafy pergolas. It looks like the perfect addition if you're looking for new ways to add an extra touch of style to your patios, gardens or play pool areas.
As the name suggests, The Sims 4 Cozy Bistro The kit will allow you to create more intimate dining spaces with a selection of colorful awnings, Parisian bistro furniture, intricately detailed windows and antique decorative elements. While some of the included build mode items may be a good fit for an Art Deco home, the package is intended to “accentuate your bar or lounge” first and foremost.
Both kits will be available tomorrow (May 30, 2024) and will cost the standard price of $4.99 / £4.99. If you are not familiar with the pricing structure of The Sims 4 Addons and kits are currently the cheapest way to expand your game. It aims to offer a bite-sized injection of content at a more affordable price compared to larger, more expensive expansion packs, game packs, and stuff packs.
Although some introduce basic gameplay elements, most kits come in the form of new build mode elements focused on a specific theme. Even if you're not interested in paying for additional content, you can still download and play the base version of The Sims 4 free on PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and Xbox One now.
