NYT Strands Today (Game #82): The Answers
The answers to today's Strands game number 82 are…
- SOUR
- MOJITO
- SPRITZ
- GIMLET
- DAIQUIRI
- DAISY FLOWER
- SPANGRAM: COCKTAILS
- My rating: Very hard
- My score: 5 tracks
This is officially my worst Strands performance yet. I needed 5 clues to solve it, meaning I only found two on my own. Since one of them was a default solution, when there was nothing else that fit, it's a terrible result.
What was the problem? Well, I definitely wasn't in shape, but I still think a lot of people might struggle here. Although the theme is not too dark, some of the spelling is; I tried for a long time to find a word that used J, Q or Z and I just couldn't find them. And let's face it, both MOJITO and DAIQUIRI have unusual word structures. Homework wasn't helpful either because I had never heard of GIMLET. I'm going to write this off as a bad day and move on, I think…
