Is it just me or is this a very random selection of LAWN GAMES, as the spangram would say? I'd never heard of BOWLS before, but I'm now gathering that it's similar to bowling or petanque… and doesn't have to be (and often isn't) played on grass. BADMINTON is an Olympic sport often played on a hard court or indoors. CORNHOLE and HORSESHOES probably fit the profile, as does CROQUET, but it's all a bit odd. Of course, I may be missing something; I'm no expert and maybe there's some sort of official designation for what is a lawn game and what isn't. Who knows…
Either way, I had to solve this problem mostly by trial and error, which never makes for the most enjoyable experience in Strands. Hopefully tomorrow will be more satisfying.
