NYT Connections Today (Game #382): The Answers
The answers to today's Connections game #382 are…
YELLOW: SEARCH CHASE, HUNT, SEARCH, SEARCH
GREEN: SIGNATURES OF ROMANTIC LETTERS ALWAYS KISSES, LOVE, YOURS
BLUE: GROUP WITHIN A GROUP CAMP, PARTY, SIDE, WING
PURPLE: GOLD ___ BOND, LEAF, MINE, RUSH
My rating: Moderate
My score: 1 error
Although I made a mistake here, it probably should have been zero, because these four sets of Connections are relatively simple, three of them are simple synonyms, and only the most difficult purple collection is a more complicated variety of missing words.
I filled in the green first, and those letter signatures stood out pretty quickly. Yellow, for the chase, followed shortly after, but as is often the case, I stopped a little when the two toughest groups remained. I decided to focus on BOND, because it is not a common word, and the association with money led me to gold, and then to LEAD, MINE and RUSH.

What are NYT connections?
NYT Connections is one of the increasingly popular word games created by the New York Times. It challenges you to find groups of four items that share something in common, and each group has a different difficulty level: green is easy, yellow is a little harder, blue is usually quite difficult, and purple is usually very difficult.
The positive side is that you technically don't need to solve the last one, since you will be able to answer it through a process of elimination. Plus, you can make up to four mistakes, which gives you a little wiggle room.
However, it's a little more complicated than something like Wordle and there are plenty of opportunities for the game to trip you up with tricks. For example, be careful with homophones and other puns that could disguise answers.
It can be played for free through the NYT Games site on desktop or mobile devices.
