Lutz Huelle Fall 2024 Runway Review, Fashion Show and Ready-to-Wear Collection

Talk about giving back and fostering a creative community. Lutz Huelle, a serial collaborator for AZ Factory, was able to return to the runway this season after a four-year hiatus when the Richemont-backed brand gave up its time slot on the official Paris Fashion Week calendar to Huelle.

“It's always stressful doing a show. I haven't done one for a while, but I feel like it's the first of many to come,” Huelle said backstage at the American Cathedral in George V.

The German designer proposed new compositions of his favorite elements, such as reworked denim, puffed shoulders, pleats, sequins, gold lamé and bomber jackets for a wardrobe that allows a seamless transition from day to night with subtle and tasteful deconstructed details.

Great attention was also paid to outerwear. Cue hybrids of trench coat and pleated dresses, wool coats with quilted sleeves, and new takes on the tuxedo jacket with baby-doll dresses.

The lace was a fun addition. She wore it over pencil skirts and baggy pants, and at the bottom of shirts. When the two meet, a corset with belt effects is created.

“I like putting things together in a different way, establishing new connections between things,” Huelle reflected.
