Avant-garde French fashion house Coperni will present its next show at Disneyland Paris on the final evening of the upcoming French ready-to-wear season on October 1.
Coperni's Spring/Summer 2025 show will be the highlight of the upcoming Paris catwalk season, scheduled from Monday 23 September to Tuesday 1 October.
“The French fashion house has chosen this iconic location to reflect a new vision of modern femininity, inspired by the timeless charm of princesses and the empowering narrative of contemporary women,” Coperni said in a statement.
Coperni was founded in 2013 by Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant, and is best known for its minimalist, innovative designs and hyper-theatrical shows.
Meyer and Vaillant Coperni have long been hailed for their brilliant stagecraft. The duo practically sent the internet into overdrive with their SS23 show, which garnered massive global attention for their “sprayed fabric dress” that sprayed supermodel Bella Hadid. At the same time, they introduced the “air swipe bag,” a special edition of the iconic swipe bag made from an ultra-light material developed by NASA.
In 2020, Coperni showcased its creativity with a drive-in fashion show, which introduced a new approach to presenting fashion amid social distancing measures. This event marked the beginning of Coperni’s reputation for hosting immersive, boundary-pushing runway experiences.
At other shows, models have been intertwined with dog-like robots from Boston Dynamics. This fall, Disneyland Paris will be the setting for its latest theatrical catwalk performances.
“Disneyland Paris, with its enchanting atmosphere, is the perfect place to showcase a collection that blends magic with reality, paying homage to the beloved Walt Disney Animation Studios films of our childhood,” Coperni added.
The show will be streamed live on Coperniparis.com and Coperni's social media channels, and the house promises there will be “more surprises to come!”
Disneyland Paris first opened its doors in April 1992 with an opening celebrated by the likes of Hubert de Givenchy, whose house would later team up with Disney on a capsule collection to mark the American brand's centenary in 2022.
Disneyland Paris has grown to become Europe’s leading tourist destination, with more than 375 million visits since its opening. Today, it operates as a multi-day resort offering two world-class theme parks; seven Disney-themed hotels; the Disney Village entertainment complex; and an integrated corporate events space. Disneyland Paris employs 18,000 employees, in more than 500 different roles and with 124 nationalities represented.
