Here's what you should know about this odds board:

The favorites: France is now the only favorite at the top of the odds table. They opened their quest for a third World Cup title with a 3-1 victory against Senegal. Les Bleus will face Norway and Iraq in their next two group stage matches as they hope to get back on a strong run in the tournament. After that, while their opening draw against Cape Verde was a nightmare start to the tournament, Spain remains second choice. Spain has appeared in 16 previous World Cups and won the tournament once, lifting the trophy in 2010. They also won Euro 2024. They will look to bounce back and follow Argentina's path to the title in 2022, after their disappointing first result of the tournament.

Biggest promotions: Could the United States and Mexico have gotten off to a better start? After winning their first two group matches, Mexico officially won Group A and secured a spot in the knockout round. In their opening match, Mexico dominated in a 2-0 victory over South Africa. On Thursday, El Tri achieved a 1-0 victory over South Korea. After Mexico's start to the tournament, they now have high hopes of advancing past the round of 16 for the first time since 1986. Meanwhile, the United States followed up their dream opening victory with another well-played match. The Stars and Stripes won Group D, allowing them to play a third-place team in the round of 32 at San Francisco Bay Area Stadium on July 1.
