MAIN STORY: Monaco star Fofana is in high demand
Manchester United and Atletico Madrid join the race for AS Monaco's defensive midfielder Youssouf Fofanaaccording to Gianluca Di Marzio.
Both clubs are believed to be the latest suitors for the 25-year-old, looking to challenge AC Milan for his signature. Rossoneri have been at the front of the queue to sign him amid recent discussions over a move, but interest from Europe has seen the Ligue 1 club increase their valuation to €35m.
That has reportedly led the Serie A side to begin evaluating other options, including a free agent. Adrian Rabiotwhich could pave the way for both the Red Devils and Atleti to move to the front of the queue to sign Fofana. The Old Trafford hierarchy are looking for their third signing after acquiring both Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee.
Fofana earned his 21st cap for France at the European Championships, coming on as a substitute in The Blues Quarter-final victory over Portugal.

Simons enjoyed a brilliant spell on loan at Leipzig last season, scoring eight goals and providing eleven assists in 32 Bundesliga games.
