Now that both teams have won two games, it will be a pivotal matchup in Game 5 at the Paycor Center in Oklahoma City on Tuesday night to see who will have the advantage heading into the decisive Game 6.

But the Spurs tightened their defense, and they showed it in Game 4 when the Thunder shot just 6 of 33 from beyond the arc (18%), resulting in just 33% shooting from the field.

San Antonio wasn't much better, making just 27% of its three-pointers (9 of 33) and shooting just 39% from the field. However, they played aggressively and had opportunities at the charity stripe, shooting 32 free throws compared to Oklahoma City's 18.

The aggression was clear from both teams, but it was San Antonio who got the best of those moments, and it started in the first quarter.

The Spurs got off to a good start, holding a nine-point lead after the first quarter and bringing it to double digits by halftime to the delight of the home crowd. Then in the third quarter, the Thunder had a hard time hitting shots as they started turning the ball over, something the Spurs have taken advantage of all season.

San Antonio scored 25 of their points off of 20 Thunder turnovers, and they were also having success in fast break moments.

At one point, the Spurs had a 25-point lead, and it's always nice for a team to rest their starters in the fourth quarter with a win in hand.

Victor Wembanyama returned to his efficient form from the court, leading the Spurs with 33 points (11 of 22), while hitting three three-pointers, collecting eight rebounds and dishing out five assists. It also had three blocks at the other end.

But Stephon Castle (13 points, three rebounds, six assists), Devin Vassell (13 points, six rebounds, three assists) and De'Aaron Fox (12 points, 10 rebounds, five assists) contributed well among the starting five in the winning effort. The Spurs also scored six bench players, including Dylan Harper, who finished with seven points and five rebounds.

For the Thunder, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had a poor shooting night, making just six of his 15 shots, although he made all seven of his free throws. He had four rebounds, seven assists and four turnovers for Oklahoma City.

As always, the Thunder had solid contributions from their bench, but they were not up to par. Players like Aaron Wiggins and Jared McCain, key players in the Game 3 victory, scored a combined 21 field goals for eight points in total.
