Charlotte Flair backed away in what he thought was a double standard in the wrestling industry when it was his age and any notion that was at the end of his career.

He pointed to several of his male colleagues, including Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, CM Punk and John Cena in a column for the Tribune of the players.

She wrote that the next step for female competitors “is not the same number of television segments, or main events, titles or money or opportunities as men. The next big step is the same amount of years as men.”

Raquel Rodríguez, who will be part of the Women's Premium live event, Evolution, on Sunday, told Fox News Digital in a recent interview that agreed with Flair's evaluation and praised the legendary professional fighter for his vulnerability and courage to put his heart on the line.

“I agree with her,” Rodríguez said. “I agree that there is a little double standard there. I feel that, because we are women, we are told, at a certain age, 'you have to stop. At a certain age, you should be thinking about other things, having children, marrying, whatever. At a certain age, you should no longer be pushed into the main story. You had time.

“I see something wrong about that because there are men on the other side who are aging with grace, and getting old as a good wine and also women. But they are getting used to a little more and put these situations in which women just have to continue trying to compete and be constantly placed in that pot to act and accelerate, and it is difficult.”

The WWE star, Drew McIntyre, speaks under the microscope to be back before returning

Rodríguez explained that with aging more time to rest and recover, and the potential to perform as a gymnast in the ring decreases.

“It's hard because, you know, with age there is also more need for rest and recovery. And we can't do as many things as these beautiful gymnasts that are in NXT turning inside and outside the ring,” he said.

“Older women will not be able to achieve such exploits, but there are other forms and purposes that our superstars can continue to carry out and provide the WWE company, and I see it for all our women.

“They are so talented, and it has taken so much time and so much hard work to develop their beginning in the place where it is. And I think they deserve to keep their new creation there and push even more if their work ethics and their stars ask for it, yes 100%.”

Rodríguez will be part of the evolution this time. I was still at the WWE Performance Center for the first Women's Premium live event in 2016.
