The Pittsburgh Pirates called up prospect Paul Skenes on Saturday, who made his MLB debut.
It was a quick call-up for Skenes, who was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft after starring as the ace for the College World Series champion LSU Tigers.
Skenes' loved ones attended the game in a suite at PNC Park in Pittsburgh, and his girlfriend, LSU gymnast and social media star Olivia Dunne, was one of many in attendance.

During the bottom of the third quarter, when Skenes was on the bench, Dunne spoke to the Pirates broadcast full of emotion.
“I have so many amazing memories with him, but I know how hard he's worked for this moment. Through all the hours, I know what a hard worker he is. This is probably one of my favorite moments I've ever seen. Seriously. “There's nothing that I can overcome this. “I'm very proud,” she said.
Dunne said she and Skenes were sleeping together when they woke up to “some missed calls.”
“It's the fastest I've ever packed in my life. We just woke up from a nap. He had some missed calls and they called him. And he just said, 'Let's pack up,' and we were on our way. It was very exciting,” she said.
“The support here is incredible. Pittsburgh has been very welcoming… The support here is incredible and I love it.”
Skenes swept the competition in Triple-A with a 0.99 ERA in his first seven starts. He allowed only 17 hits and consistently clocked over 100 mph. He struck out 45 batters and walked eight.
Pittsburgh gave him a record $9.2 million bonus when he signed his first contract.
