NCAA Men's Basketball Transfer Rankings for the 2024-25 Season

Hours after the 2024 NCAA Tournament field was announced, every team in the country had to quickly focus on the upcoming season. The transfer window for men's basketball opened on March 18 and nearly 300 players entered on the first day. When the portal closed, more than 2,000 players had entered.

It's also a different year for transfers. The two-transfer rule is out: everyone is eligible to play immediately; the NIL landscape continues to grow and this will be the last offseason affected by the “COVID year.” Student-athletes were granted an extra year of eligibility due to the impact of COVID-19 in the 2020-21 season, but next season will be the fifth year for those players.

The transfer window also closed for all players on May 1. The next deadline to follow will be May 29: the last date for any player in the NBA draft, who also retained his college eligibility, to decide whether he will return for another year.
