Manchester United will let Ruben Amorim decide the future of Jadon Sancho in the unlikely case that England striker returns to Old Trafford, a source told ESPN.
Sancho is borrowed in Chelsea, who has the obligation to make the agreement permanent in the summer for a rate of around £ 25 million ($ 32 million)
The obligation is triggered if Chelsea, which is fourth at the Premier League table with nine games for the end, ends above 14.
However, there have been suggestions that Chelsea could look out of the agreement even if the condition is fulfilled.
Sancho has been entering and leaving the Enzo Maresca team, scoring two goals in 28 appearances in all competitions. Chelsea would still have to pay United a great proportion of the £ 25 million rate if they want to cancel the agreement to take Sancho permanently.
A source told ESPN that, in that scenario, Amorim would be allowed to make a final decision on the future of Sancho.
The 24 -year -old, signed by £ 73 million from Borussia Dortmund in 2021, has a contract in Old Trafford until 2026.
Sancho fell with the predecessor of Amorim, Erik Ten, after a public disagreement in September 2023.
