Lennart Karl and Tom Bischof scored injury-time goals as runaway Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich claimed a 3-2 win in Freiburg.
Bayern looked set for their second league defeat of the season at the Europa-Park stadium after falling behind to second-half goals from Freiburg's Johan Manzambi and Lucas Höler.
But Bischof scored his first goal for Bayern in the final minutes and fired a similar shot from outside the penalty area in the second minute of added time before teenager Karl surprisingly scored the winner seven minutes later.
Bayern, whose only league defeat this season was at home to Augsburg in January, were without injured England captain Harry Kane and their thrilling victory came three days before the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final in Spain against Real Madrid.
Bischof shot straight at goalkeeper Noah Atubolu before Freiburg wasted a golden opportunity to take an early lead when an unmarked Philipp Treu shot wide from inside the penalty area.
Atubolu was tested again by a low volley from Joshua Kimmich and at the opposite end veteran goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, back in the team after a four-game absence through injury, stretched to his maximum to deny Lucas Holer's shot.
Bayern took a step forward towards the end of the first half without finding the goal when Karl was thwarted by Atubolu and Serge Gnabry sent a long shot just wide.
But the visitors were left cold less than 60 seconds after the restart when Manzambi cut inside from the left and fired a superb shot past Neuer into the far corner for his fourth league goal of the season.
Freiburg had chances to extend their lead when Holer fired over the crossbar and deflected another shot wide following a sidestep into space on the edge of the area.
Bayern's first chance of the second half fell to Michael Olise, but he deflected a Bischof cross to the wrong side of the far post.
Things got worse for Bayern in the 71st minute, when they fell further behind, with Holer jumping to fire from close range after Neuer failed to deflect a corner from Niklas Beste.
Bayern responded and set up a grandstand finish by pulling one back 10 minutes later, when Bischof fired a low shot from 20 yards into the bottom corner for his first goal for the club.
As the visitors pushed for an equalizer, shots from outside the box by Olise and Kimmich were superbly saved by Atubolu.
But Bischof equalized in added time with a copy of his first goal and Karl scored the winning goal, after a brilliant performance by Kimmich and Alphonso Davies, in the ninth minute of added time.
