ESPN NFL analyst Dan Orlovsky drew attention Tuesday when he sniffed Molly Qerim’s shoe during a “First Take” segment.
Orlovsky held Qerim’s shoe as he, Stephen A. Smith and Shannon Sharpe talked about the Dallas Cowboys’ victory over the Detroit Lions. As Orlovsky held it, he decided to smell it.

“Are you really smelling the shoe? I just received the shoe and I have socks on. Don’t be weird,” Qerim said.
Smith wondered if Orlovsky had a foot fetish, and Sharpe responded that he had to keep an eye on Orlovsky in the future.
Orlovsky later appeared on “The Pat McAfee Show” and was asked what he was doing with the shoe.

“I don’t have any foot fetish… What I don’t understand is why everyone is so baffled,” he said. “It’s the first time wearing the shoe. Of course, they will smell totally normal.
“She gave me the shoe because she said, ‘These are the shoes Stephen A. bought me because of UConn’s national title bid. It’s the first time I’ve worn them, they showed up in my office this morning.” ‘I was like, okay.”
McAfee said the whole premise of him having the shoe and the bet wasn’t a big deal, but once Orlovsky sniffed the shoe, that’s when things got a little weird.
“Well, that’s just a guess.”
