Barcelona have signed Senegalese defender Mamadou Fall from LAFC
The 21-year-old spent last season on loan at Barça's reserve team, Barça Atlètic, from the Californian club.
“FC Barcelona has reached an agreement with Los Angeles FC for the transfer of Mamadou Mbacke Fall on a two-year contract, until June 30, 2026, with the option to extend it for two more years,” Barça said in a statement.
A product of the LAFC youth system, Fall made 21 appearances for Barça Atlético, starting 19 of them.
LAFC Co-President and CEO John Thorrington believes Barca is a great destination for the talented center back.
“Fall is a player with incredible potential and exceptional talent,” he said.
“He began his professional career at LAFC and we are excited to see him join not only one of the best clubs in the world, but also a great environment for his continued development.”
Fall made 42 appearances for LAFC in all competitions, scoring six goals and providing one assist. He also spent a year on loan at La Liga side Villarreal.
