Arkansas fland undergoes surgery; The season is probably over, the sources say.

Arkansas Guard, Boogie Fland, underwent surgery in his right thumb injured Wednesday in New York City, the school announced.

The razorbs said there was no schedule for a return, although Sources told ESPN that Fland was expected to stay out the rest of the season.

Fland, one of the country's best rookie players, had already been discarded for Wednesday victory by 68-65 over Georgia, and coach John Calipari hinted after the defeat of the Razorbs against Missouri during the weekend that Fland could lose time.

“His hand is quite bad. I don't know what we will do in the future,” said Calipari. “But we have to make sure to do it well.”

Fland suffered the injury against Florida on January 11, but started in the last two games against LSU and Missouri. He had problems in the latter, ending with four points, the minimum of the season, with 2 of 13 field shots.

It is the last setback for an Arkansas team that had not won in the SEC before Wednesday's victory, which broke a streak of five consecutive losses.

Fland has been one of the few brilliant points consistent for the razorbs, averaging 15.1 points, 5.7 assists and 3.4 rebounds while shooting at 36.5% from the range of 3 points. It was a catalyst in the team's biggest victory in the season, scoring 20 points and seven assists to overcome Michigan in Madison Square Garden in December.

It occupies the 32nd position in the Draft Ranking of the NBA of ESPN.

Without Fland, Calipari will support DJ Wagner and Johnell Davis as creators of the game.
